I've been hearing a lot of hate for Brawl lately and I wanted to find out how people here really do dislike it. Personally i think it is a spectacular and infinitely replayable game that is far superior to it's predecessors. However i've been seeing multiple people who consider it a flop. For this I can only come up with one logical reason: That Brawl didnt' live up to their expectations. This is of course complete and udder nonsense as there is no way any Wii game cold live up to incredible hype train generated By Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The only other reasons i have heard are that Brawl is too slow and therefore less hectic, and that it's too easy. The first of these reasons is completely untrue, as I have had much more hectic battles in Brawl than in Melee. The only thing less hectic is that there is a slight slowdown, but i have found that after switching from Melee to Brawl it becomes completely unnoticeable extremely soon, and I was a complete Melee addict. As for it being to easy, where did that come from? You only get five golden hammers, and difficulty isn't even the point of Smash Bros! The point is to play hours upon hours with your friends, as it is a primarily multiplayer game. It can't be easy or hard, because it is a game with no end that can not be beaten! All that single player stuff was thrown in to keep you entertained when there wasn't anyone to play with, but the core of the game is in Brawling with your friends. So there goes those two reasons. As for the online everyone has been complaining about, I admit it is broken in all meaning of the word. IMO that's pretty much the only reason the game didn't get a ten. But how can melee be better because of that when it didn't have any online at all? If you still disagree, give me another reason why this work of art isn't any good. Jasonguy should be showing up any time now.How many of you don't like Brawl?
I thought it was OK, but overall I can't say I like it very much. I'm more a fanof traditional fightersHow many of you don't like Brawl?
Melee > 64 > Brawl
It's an ok game. The coolest thing about it is the variety of characters, and all the trophies to unlock. But actually playing it got pretty old for me in a hurry.
The reason why some people hate it is because of the tweaks that totally screwed over the advanced techniques of the game. Brawl is a lot more newbie friendly than Melee, making it not as good for competitive play. But I'm not a competitive player, so Brawl is fine for me.

All they did was remove the cheap glitches like Wave-dashing. Maybe that's why some people don't like it, they cant own their non-glitching friends as easily anymore.

I'm happy they removed the cheap techniques and glitches.
Somewhat disappointed but it was still a very fun game.
I hate it mainly for how shallow and simplistic it is; I like my fighting games to consist of complex special moves and the like. Then again, perhaps this is unfair, since Smash Bros was never a fighting game, just a party game that thought it was a fighting game. Oh, and the fanbase. Ugh.IMO:Street Fighter series > King of Fighters series > Guilty Gear XX series > Rival Schools/Project Justice > Bushido Blade > Dead or Alive series > Tekken series > Soul Calibur series > Soul Blade > Arcana Heart >>>>> Shaq-Fu > Smash > Rise of the Robots.Hey, at least it's better than RotR.
can you even shffl?
I never got into. It's ok, especially for multiplayer. I prefer the Soul Calibur series.

Your profile name is starting to become a nightmare to me, ever since I see you trolling games all day.
It was the first Smash bros game I played, and I didn't like it at all when I first played it, all I did was button mashing.
But now I love the game because I learned how to play it.

''Trolling''? I'm merely providing my input, just like the people in this thread who love casual party games. :)[/QUOTE]I'm pretty sure its safe to say that Street Fighter is casual, right?

I don't know any casual gamers who are pre-ordering SF4.
All the smash bros. games are excellent fighting games and fun.

Wave-dashing wasn't a glitch was it? I thought it was supposed to be in there. And those ''glitches'' were all advanced techs. Or so I've heard. I personally am too lazy to go test them out myself. But if you Youtube tournament vids of Melee and Brawl, I guarantee you'll see a big difference.
I greatly enjoy Brawl. Sure, there are things that could be improved (i.e. Random Online, Friend Matches work fine for me), but the same could be said for just about any game.
