If you haven't played any of the later Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance Zelda's. Capcom developed those games and had Nintendo publish them. And Capcom did a great job with the Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance Zelda's in terms of development. And I am wondering if anyone would want Capcom to develop the next Zelda for Wii (f there is one), instead of Ninty developing it, but still allow Nintendo to publish it and strictly watch them to ensure they don't make another Nintendo Zelda screw up like Twilight Princess.Should Capcom help Nintendo develop a Ze ...
Capcom has shown that they're more interested making profit from the Wii rather then games. With ports and remakes filling their game list they should stay away from Zelda. It would be disaster putting them on a title so close to a killing blow. There is no way the Zelda franchise is strong enough to survive another poor showing on the console. Should Capcom help Nintendo develop a Ze ...
No matter their past mistakes, only Aonuma %26 Co. should be allowed to get close to a console Zelda.
they should do the next handheld zelda but not the console zelda
YES. The only good Zelda games made after Link's Awakening were developed by none other than Capcom.
That'd be cool to include some of the people who used to work with Flagship/Capcom on the handheld Zelda games in the development, but no I'd rather not have Nintendo hand over the whole development to them.
they should do the next handheld zelda but not the console zelda
Yeah, I am fine with handheld but nervous about console. I still have faith Nintendo can put out a good console Zelda game without capcoms help.
I still have faith Nintendo can put out a good console Zelda game without capcoms help.
Even when they failed to do so since the N64? While we're at it, let's all put faith in Sonic Team to make another good Sonic game. Okay guys, Sonic's sucked ever since Sonic Adventure, but SONIC AND THE BLACK KNIGHT is gonna be the game!! The only time they failed was with TP, and I'm sure they're all aware of this. Besides, you talk as if Nintendo has made an awful amount of Zelda games since the N64, which isn't the case. Comparing Zelda with Sonic is just pointless.
I don't think there's any particular need for them to be on board at this stage.

Funny, because that was the first game in the series since Oracle of Seasons that I actually enjoyed, and the first 3D Zelda that I considered to be decent.

I have enjoyed all the Zelda games I have played(have not played all of them) and though TP was a really good game. It was not revolutionary but was good.
I honestly rather see RE:5 on the WII than Zelda.

For further details, you can look for older threads, cause I'm really not starting this all over again.
I pretty much disagree with mostly everyone who has posted so far in this thread. Twilight Princess was a lot like Ocarina of Time except with a little more fetching, but more varied game play because of the wolf segments. People liked Ocarina of Time, so why is Twilight Princess such a failure? Yeah Ocarina of Time was a lot better in it's time, and the classic Zelda formula feels outdated, but isn't Twilight Princess still a good game? And there HAS been a good Sonic game since Sonic Adventure. It's called Sonic and the Secret Rings.

The controls get better after like 15 minutes of playing it. The people who reviewed it or played it and didn't like it probably just played it for 5 minutes.
I think they should, only because i actually liked the gameboy Color/ GBA Zeldas who knows? maybe it might give a series new light.

When the series supposed to be the very pinnacle of action/adventure feels outdated, is it OK? It ain't. Specially when TP was supposed to be a completely different beast than what it is.

Five words popped up as soon as I read that.
''A Link to the Past.''
But you do make a valid argument. Capcom does make ports of good games, but they're just making way to many. They need to spend their time actually developing new games for the Wii, instead of just developing new controls and tacking them on to older games.

Exactly. Two totally different franchises that have only two things to do with each other; they both have games on the same console, and they're both franchises in Brawl. Two totally different franchises here. But, neither franchises have had bad games in the most recent times. '06, Shadow and Riders were the only really bad Sonic games in recent times. The Wand of Ghamelon, The Faces of Evil, and Zelda's Adventure are the only bad Zelda games EVER. Although, to be honest, I have lost trust with Sonic Team, and the only Sonic games I will buy are the ones made by Dimps, I just can't trust Sonic Team after '06. Anyways, to say that a good Zelda game can't be pulled off by Nintendo is like saying Barack Obama will be a terrible president. It's more of a personal opinion, and majority of the people disagree.
