Wii's 2009 Potential Rest Solely On Nint ...

2009 is looking to be the best year for the Wii. So far we have:Little King StoryTenchu 4House of the Dead: OverkillCursed MountainDeadly CreaturesMadworldThe ConduitFatal FramePunch-OutTrace Memory WiiWii Sports: ResortSin and Punishment 2Arc Rise FantasiaFragileMurusmas: The Demon BladeRed Steel 2FF:CC The Crystal BearersMonster Hunter 3Nintendo must add to Punch-Out and Sin and Punishment 2 in order to make 2009 everything we HOPE it to be. Third parties have us excited at the potential for 09 so Nintendo needs to (in addition to the above) bring out 3 more AAA caliber titles. They could be Pikmin 3, New Star Fox, and a New Zelda. The first half of 09 looks great... let's hope Nintendo comes out with some great announcemnts for the second half and not let us down like they did this year. 2009 is Nintendo's to lose.Wii's 2009 Potential Rest Solely On Nint ...
Yeah, don't get me wrong, S%26P2 (even though it's really obscure and niche) and punchout wii are cool and all, but I really need more from nintendo. At least two big titles please. Any two of the follwoing will do: Starfox, F-Zero, Kid Icaurs, Pikmin, Zelda, or Donkey Kong.Wii's 2009 Potential Rest Solely On Nint ...

This.
All I need is Pikmin 3 to make 2009 one of the greatest years in gaming. I don't see it happening though. They pushed back Pikmin 2 a year and it turned out to have more content in it that Smah Bros. Melee by far. It's closer to Brawl in terms of amount of content. If they put that kind of work into Pikmin 3 it may take a while. Unless they've been working on it since Pikmin 2 (2004). I really want Pikmin 3!Pikmin 2 is my pick for best game of all time!
2009 is going to be a top-notch year for the Wii, whether the folks at Nintendo themselves step up to the plate or not.
I'm absolutely sick of Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, and shovelware. The only Wii games of '09 that I'm anticipating are S%26P2, Fatal Frame 4, MadWorld, and Muramasa. Couldn't care less about first-party titles at this point; Nintendo proved that they forgot how to make games with any real replay value, for about the last 12 years or so.
all i want for christmas(next year, not the upcoming christmas) is a wii-specifac zelda, if ya' get my meaning

wii c
Tentative mentions should go to Overlord and Sky Crawlers and a few others.
I think Rune Factory: Frontier should be on that list
Nah I think Wii`s future is really on 3rd parties hands. Even though there`s a lot of games I`m interested in from that list like Fragile, Muramasa, NMH2, Arc Rise Fantasia and Monster Hunter 3 I don`t know if all of those games will be great. My Game Cube library was composed of like 90% of Nintendo games so, in my opinion 3rd parties let gamecube`s owners down last generation and I don`t want the same thing to happen with the Wii.

100% agree
I think Wii's success rests more on the shoulders of third party developers. Nintendo will come out with its powerhouses but honestly, how many can they make? Steady third party support will keep a good flow of success.

The whole complaint about 2008 was that Nintendo left big holes in the release schedule where they should have filled in fill top tier titles instead of riding the Wii Fit wave.
Ummmm, so someone thinks the Wi is in trouble?
Ummmm, so someone thinks the Wi is in trouble?
\Trouble how? Trouble of losing the war? No. Sales? No.Trouble of being a disappointment to the core Nintendo gamer? Perhaps.

One of the most content filled games ever made. Heck, just the multiplayer portion of the game should last you about 10 years!
