- Make better use of Motion controls
- Expandable memory
- Loading off SD card
- Slap developers in face and make them give better third-party games instead of PS2 ports
- Ethernet port cause not everyone has Wi-fi
- Menu wallapapers
- Not crappy online
- Added ability to make smoothies:D
Why on Earth would you change anything? It's the best selling console on the market today that's sold out for it's third straight holiday season. If you were to change anything there's a great likelihood that you would damage the numbers it has.I don't see the point in hurting the Wii If you could change the Wii, in what way ...
Slap developers in face and make them give better third-party games instead of PS2 ports
Better yet, use all the money that they're getting from those massive sales to buy out several companies such as Sega, Capcom, etc and force them to make good games only for Wii, or at least purchase the rights to some of the franchises such as sonic. Also, do not allow anything, and i mean ANYTHING, on the system that ends with a z.
Added ability to make smoothies
And toast.
I'm happy with my Wii, but I am hoping that the addition of Wii Motion Plus make it the revolutionary councol that we all thought it was going to be.
I mean the Wii Controler has allowed more immersive gameplay, but I wouldn't call it revolutionary.
Hi Def/HDD/wireless nunchuk
I wouldnt change something about the Wii now. I would change Nintendo's past. I would have made Nintendo sell more consoles in the previous generations so that they had more third party support. That way they would automatically have done most of the things people wish they had done i.e hard drive (to hell with HD though, the graphics can be improved without HD - through actual effort, as Nintendo have shown). The problem is whether or not tha means they would have ditched the motion sensing idea or just made it an option rather than a main feature.Really, the lack of a hard drive and better third party support is the only thing they need to improve. And they are working on a solution to the hard drive, while the support gets better every year, just like the DS. Other than that the Wii is perfect.

Slap developers in face and make them give better third-party games instead of PS2 ports

Added ability to make smoothies
And toast.
i agree, developers putting more thought into wii games couldn't possibly hurt their numbers... ...and waffles...
the one thing the wii really needs is a built in toastie sandwich toaster. and maybe a small freezer :P
seriously...assuming were talking launch time and not what we would do with modern costs and tech.
1) a bit more umph in the GPU and a dollop of more RAM (say 128MB) + a 1GHz cpu. i do think ninty could have gone a bit further with the internals without breaking the bank.
2) allow ppl to play downloadable games from the SD card or any other external storage. im not sure if the firmware update next spring adresses this fully...theres some mixed reports on that.
3) a more organised and customisable GUI on the starting screen. imho there should be channels for the different platforms and wiiware and a list of games for that platform should be given when thbe user clicks on it. perhaps allow the user to create new channels and then move channels into those chanels (like moving files around on a PC). 4) not really a huge deal...but a little intro thing as the console boots up would also be nice. something to replace the warning message at the start.
External hardriveonline like xbox livegraphics equal to ps3 and 360
i would be happy with just 2 additions to the wii's hardware:1. decent internal hard drive (ex.5-10gigs)2. more powerful processor

Why do so many people like this guy here give a toss how well it sells? do you actually own shares in Nintendo or do you just get a warm fuzzy feeling because you are in with the popular console crowd?:?
I would like it so more games use the consoles potential like MP3 and SMG do, the Wii's potential just isn't being tapped into since Nintendo stopped actually trying.

I was gonna say something similar to this, and then I saw this:

- Added ability to make smoothies:D
and now I do have a reason for the Wii to make a change :D
Much much much larger hard drive. room for more virtual console games, wiiware games, and of course wii games.
literally it make print money.
/thread
I think it would be cool for Wii Gamerscore and more third party games.
Add HD, wireless nunchuk, make more games that use the controller to it's full extent, different colors, fix the online, and make a type of recommendation type of thing for the VC games.
A universal friend code for the system rather than having 10 games each with their own 12 digit code....
I'd like one of the two nunchuck buttons to have been analogue, possible also a button on the analogue stick as well, you know when you click it down.I'd like to see an ear piece that connects to one of the wii-mote channels via which you receive in-game orders etc - have a look on IGN and the October Conduit demo level videos and imagine those ordes from that guy coming to you via an ear piece while the TV plays the in-game sound, make the experience more imersive. All the rest like HD and a but more memory for textures and AI etc has already been said.
