Final Fantasy: Crystal Bearers Lives!

December 22, 2008 - If you found it a bit fishy when Square Enix announced a Wii version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Echoes of Time while we hadn't heard anything about Crystal Bearers for months, you weren't alone. But you can lower the solo eyebrow -- Crystal Bearers is still on the way, and it's going to be showing itself again early next year!

The new look will come through Echoes of Time. Square Enix announced in Japan today a second bonus for the game (the first was a soundtrack for pre-orderers). All Wii versions of the game will include a shiny new trailer for Crystal Bearers. This trailer will be included on the main game disc and will be selectable from the main menu.

While that's all we know at the moment, we're going to assume (or at least pray) that this won't be just a few extra seconds of new footage tacked on to older footage ala a Final Fantasy XIII trailer, but a real new look at the missing Wii entry in the series.

Thank you! I have been waiting on this game for some time now, and it looks like it's on schedule. Everything I hear from this game has been good. A promising adventure/rpg. I'm hoping it will play like a Zelda game only with rpg elements in real time. Is that right?
