I was just wondering if anyone else found super paper mario a let down, Compared to the thousand year door. I know I did.Super Paper Mario. A let down?
For the first 30 hours or so it's pretty boring, but at the very end it starts to get decent.Super Paper Mario. A let down?
No way, Super Paper Mario is a great game. It's the best one next to Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, technically that's the first one. The Paper Mario games were based off of it.
I didn't like it at all. After you finished reading through the novel of an intro, the gameplay wasn't much fun. I was very disappointed.
I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I enjoyed it very much. I mean really the righting was genius.
I dont know. I was kind of hoping for another thousand year door. Mabye ''Paper luigi and the waffle king'' :D
Yah it was. Weird how the decided that going 3D was a privlage, and was limited, when in the other two the whole game was 3D... And the pixls seemed like a lazy excuse for partners. Thousand year door was still the best one.
I for one am thoroughly enjoying Super Paper Mario. Super Paper Mario was for the diehards: those who like Mario platformers and RPGs and wanted a twist. You'd be disappointed if you were expecting a traditional turn-based RPG. I wasn't from the start. As soon as I heard it was called Super Paper Mario I knew it'd be more of a platformer than the other Paper Mario's since its title resembled Super Mario games. I was even more excited since I haven't seen a 2D platformer that looked this polished and had writing so unbelievably hilarious since Thousand Year Door. This game was a 9.0 for me and is still really fun to play as an RPG platformer. I played Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario 1 and 2 and really enjoyed those too but for once I wanted something resembling an RPG with a lot less turn-based battles that slowed things down and got boring. I was glad there was none of that in this game because it made things easier and less strenuous. I wish Super Paper Mario had more worlds and was a bit deeper and had more replayability, although the game is still about 20 hours long and was deep, but other than that Super Paper Mario is one of my Wii favorites. If they made an updated version of Super Mario Bros. 1 -3 with Wii graphics then I'd buy it in a heartbeat. That'd be real fanboy service.
You can't compare Super Paper Mario to the other Paper Mario games; they're two completely different things.Super Paper Mario was awesome
It was definitely worse than The Thousand Year door (one of my favorite games), but if you could deal with how boring it was in some places it was good game.
Boring story line. Boring gameplay. No replay value.Returned for a full refund.
HELL NO!!! Super Paper Mario is one of my top three favorite Wii games.
I actually liked Super paper Mario more than Thousand Year door.

Boring story line? At least it didn't involve Bowser kidnapping Peach

anyway I enjoyed the game very much.
It was only really a let down because it has absolutely no replay value. The only thing that kept me playing it in the first place was the completely-obvious-how-it-was-going-to-turn-out story. I never felt the need to collect any of the cards or even any of the special pixls or anything.
No way I'm currently in the middle of it and I absolutely love it and the platforming combat. Its also very clever and humorous. One part I didn't like was getting all those Rubees though :(
the game was great at first, but the middle/near end it really seemed to drag on
Not exactly a let down. I admit, Super Paper Mario was fun for the first playthrough, but it just didn't have the replay value the first two Paper Mario titles did. However, it still had hilarious dialogue, nice paper-like visuals, and decent gameplay.
I didn'treally have high hopes for it.
