YesBecause if it's one thing Nintendo needs it's help with first party titles Nintendo Should Purchase Silicon Knights ...
I don`t think it is a wise thing to Nintendo do. Not for money, because Nintendo is fine.
If it means more good games for Wii than why not? Nintendo is swimming in loads of money right now. I would still like to see the rumored Kid Icarus and Timesplitters 4 on Wii.

I don't think Nintendo should.
Nintendo can't bail out every company that was dumb enough to not support the Wii. They bet on HD COMPLETELY and failed. Maybe if they already released titles on the Wii (which they did not) Nintendo could lend a hand if they were working on a current project as well.
Free Radical wasn't making a Wii game anyways, so goodbye to them. Factor 5....there was some rumor they were working on Kid Icarus (LIE). If they were working on that, they'd still be in business, because Nintendo would've been funding part of the project while being the publisher for it.
They worked on expensive HD games, that flopped hard and have no one else to blame but themselves and the PS3. Let other companies take notice: You can make games like Doom, which influenced you to work in the gaming industry in the past, but unless you are EA or Activision, you'll be making that game on the Welfare line. Devs need to make games for EVERYONE, not themselves. That's the problem. This is business, not a boulevard for broken dreams to come to frution. If you are serious about making a game, it better be good enough so that you can recoup your losses if it fails, and try again. However, these companies put all their eggs in one expensive basket, and crashed when those eggs got baked. A company's exist can not depend on one game (Rockstar). If it does, that is just bad management.
Silicon Knights still has a chance I think, but Too Human was Too Terrible for them, so they have to rebuild something.
Nintendo doesn't need to buy anything that doesn't INTEREST them. However, these companies could be bought for cheap. One week of Wii Fit sales can cover the cost it takes to buy Factor 5.......think about that for a second. Nintendo would barely recognize the money being gone LOL.

This. Those companies are fairly strong, and Nintendo's lost a bit of polish in their games.

Nintendo should pull an America and bail EVERYONE OUT!! MWAHAHA!!!
Your last thoughts are why I think they should. These really good development teams are up for sale, and they are CHEAP! Why waste talent like that and let them die when you can invest a little money in them and have them hold back the rampant hardcore Nintendo fans?

Nintendo should bail America out.
Sure, Nintendo is making plenty of Money so why not? Can't see how more good software would hurt them.
Would be a great idea but I doubt it.
the one bad thing about this is according to IGN Factor 5 was suppose to be doing a game for Nintendo that was suppose to come out next year some people though it was going to be kid icarus Silicon Knights was suppose to be doing a game for them as well in 2010, on top of that nintendo was suppose to get time splitters 4 as well check the listhttp://wii.ign.com/index/release.html
Good Post! All 3 of these companies have had success on Nintendo platforms in the past and since they left Nintendo they all experienced a downfall (similar to Rare). Nintendo always runs tight quality control on titles they publish (even if it's developed by an independant studio). Perhaps these companies have a lot of great vision and creativity but they Nintendo watching over them to keep them on track. Anyways, it would be great if Nintendo made an initiative to try and put more games that hardcore gamers are excited about and picking devs like these would be a nice step in the right direction.
More companies mean's more games, right??? And the industry profits off making games. I say it would be great because it would mean more money for Nintendo and we might get more good games this way. Out of 50 games, one of them has to be pretty good, right??? Then right on.
hm look up timesplitters 4 again and then tell me free radical wasnt working on a wii game, as far as factor 5 is, yes go look on igns release list factor 5 has a unannounced wii projec on the list and we know the other one was , ,and ya lot of companies who left nintendo went down , the only one i didnt see do that bad was free radical ,obviously because of key memers of goldeneye team , doak elis etc, and the 2 games that made free radical popular, timesplitters 1-3 and second sight, haze was the only mistake this compnay made . and since costs were high free radical is gonethey had in developmenttimesplitters 4-wii 360 ps3 , starwars next gen unnammed plats , moved to rebellion and the blog on frd.co.uk said they wante to see a second sight on the wiifactor 5 did ok, they did have one title for wii ,indevelopment, never gonna come now because of this unless nintendo buys these companies out but you know what doak and both elis formed a new company pumpkin beach im hoping they pick up where they left off on the last timesplitters title at least ,thats all i really wanted , i didnt much like second sight but hardly played it so i dont know how good it really is , timesplitters 4 definatelly needs to come ou i mean that series was one of the popular fps along with halo last gen there wasnt many fpses last gen to begin with so i dont see why a good shooter has to be canned especally with that map maker, that was the only series on console to have it
They just need to buy Rare

Dude, Eternal Darkness was terrible. Maybe it was better in 2002, but I got it about 4 months ago and it stinks. Terribly dated.
